Daan Visser was born in Dordrecht in 1987 and now lives in Rotterdam. For several years he worked as an assistant to an advertising photographer, learning to stage food and products with light and composition. His own series began by chance, when an old tennis ball lay next to a few kiwis in a prop box. Since then he has fused sports equipment and moments of indulgence into a single object, photographed in warm sunlight against bold blocks of colour. His pictures show how close discipline and joie de vivre lie to one another, and invite you to enjoy both!
